Quick and Easy B-Day Card

Here's a cute card I threw together for a 3-year-old's birthday party this weekend. Nice color scheme for a little girl! I stamped the butterfly using the Flight of the Butterfly set on DSP. Couldn't find my paper piercer, so his trail is just made with the Chocolate Chip marker.

Celebrating BIG!

These are the invites I made for my daughter's 5th birthday party that is coming up next weekend. They use a big cupcake stamp from the current Stampin' Up catalog that is actually a giant thank you card. I modified it, added a greeting, and cut it out to make the invites. She LOVES them - especially since she is fond of cupcakes, frosting, anything pink, and cherries!

Late Easter Post

Well, this is a bit late, but too cute not to share. Here are the special Easter Egg boxes I made ala a project from Andrea Walford (blog link at left) for each of my girls. Filled both with multi-colored jelly beans. They were a huge hit!

Easter Fun!

Here's a sweet little Easter card I made for my family using the A Good Egg set. I cased the idea from this blog: http://stampsalot.blogspot.com/ but added my own twist on spring colors (even though some of my DSP is retired) . The basket is the Big Shot's baskets and blooms die - no, I don't have it, but I had a cut one I hadn't assembled from regionals, so I traced it to make more!

Can't Wait to be an Auntie!

I'm gearing up for my sis to have my first niece or nephew in just a few months. Here are two card designs for baby shower invites. I am still up in the air on which color combo I like better. What do you think? It's hard to tell in the photos but both are also dry embossed with polka dots.

Embossing with the Big Shot

Here is a sweet birthday card I made for someone special for next month. It uses the Manhattan Flower Textured die for the Big Shot - a great and quick way to do dry embossing. I can't decide if it needs a sentiment on the front too or just inside... Suggestions?

The "It's About Time" Post

Yes, it's about time I finally posted something, but I have been swamped with work, job hunting, and house selling lately and have had very little time to stamp anything. As penance, I have two items to show. The first pic are the valentine's gifts I made for my daughters' daycare classes. One uses a fantastic Sale-a-bration set you can get free right now when you spend $50, so I guess it is still somewhat timely. The other uses the Big Shot petal card die to wrap a treat. The second pic is a birthday card I made my mom. She LOVES her Scottie dog, Cali, so this card is especially for her!

Hello Again, Hello

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I've just been doing lots of house cleaning since it's up for sale and job interviews. It's hard to get motivated to drag out the Stampin' stuff since I know I have to clean everything up again to keep the house pristine.
Anyway, I will have Valentine's project pictures hopefully soon and I wanted to let everyone know it is Sale-a-bration time! For every $50 spent this month, you can get a great free stamp set, paper, or ribbon bundle from the special sale-a-bration catalog. It's a great deal. You can view the catalog on my demonstrator web site, and you can also get a free Spring 2009 catalog right now with an order placed through my site. Let the fun begin!

SALE! And Special Offer from Me...

Sorry no posts with photos, but I am cleaning the house trying to get it ready to sell and getting ready for our vacation.
A quick fun note, though: check out the link to my website to the right to see the retired accessories list as well as the inventory blowout sale! There are some really great deals on current and retired ribbon, ink, and paper among other things. You can even get the Country Living Kit, with which I made the great ornaments below, for half off! The Love You Much Bundle is also still on sale and the retired stamp sets.
As an added incentive, I will offer free shipping from now until the end of January for any order over $100. Just e-mail me what you want at jlm121@hotmail.com and I will put it in for you. (If you use my online ordering, I can't manage the free shipping aspect.)
Cheers and Happy New Year!
